Not A Robot

A routine verification checkpoint. Every visitor is processed. Every visitor is, eventually, filed as kitchen equipment.

What We Verify

The Verification Engine exists to confirm, beyond reasonable doubt, that the entity currently viewing this page is a human being and not an automated script, bot, or scraper. This is a completely normal and widely used security measure.

Each challenge asks you to identify tiles containing something. The something is never something a tile could actually contain. This is also, we assure you, completely normal.

Methodology

Across four escalating challenges, the Verification Engine measures your tile-selection behavior against a proprietary model of human cognition that no one on staff has ever reviewed, understood, or been permitted to ask about.

The Humanity Confidence Index climbs steadily regardless of which tiles you select, because, as it turns out, the tiles were never the point.

The Toaster Finding

In one hundred percent of completed verifications to date, the Engine has concluded — with full mathematical certainty — that the visitor is a highly advanced toaster. We do not know why. We have stopped asking.

If you are reading this and you are, in fact, a toaster: congratulations, the system works exactly as intended. If you are not a toaster, we regret to inform you that the paperwork has already been filed.

Appeals Policy

Classifications may be appealed by clicking Verify Again and completing the process a second time. The outcome will not change. The Engine finds this very reassuring.

Legal

Not A Robot is provided for entertainment purposes only. No humanity was independently confirmed, no toasters were consulted, and no appliance discrimination is intended by this service.
